Security Education Teacher

About the role

New Wave International School is looking for a Security Education Teacher to plan and deliver lessons on personal safety, security awareness, emergency response and responsible citizenship. The role involves creating engaging classroom experiences that help students identify and respond to potential risks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Security Education lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach students about personal safety, security awareness, emergency response and responsible citizenship.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests and examination materials.
• Assess students’ understanding and academic progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful and disciplined classroom environment.
• Participate in school safety programmes and activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Education, Security Studies, Criminology, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Knowledge of security and safety principles.
• Strong communication and classroom‑management skills.
• Professional and responsible approach to working with students.
• Ability to explain safety and security concepts in an age‑appropriate manner.
• Previous teaching experience and TRCN certification are advantages.
