Sales Team Lead

About the role

Generation Capital Limited is seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead to drive the marketing and sales of its loan products. You will lead a high‑performing sales team in Port Harcourt, ensuring targets are met while fostering professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and productivity.
• Promote the company’s loan products to prospective customers and identify new business opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, pipeline, conversion rates, and portfolio growth.
• Ensure loan applications are accurately completed and processed through to disbursement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports.
• Collaborate with Credit, Recovery, Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth loan processing.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and lending standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Completed NYSC.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sales, team leadership or business development within banking, micro‑finance, fintech or lending.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
