Sales & Strategy Manager

About the role

The Sales & Strategy Manager will lead revenue generation and strategic growth across corporate, SME, retail and specialist insurance segments, driving the firm’s commercial vision.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver revenue targets, identify and close new business opportunities, and deepen existing client relationships through cross‑selling and up‑selling.
• Translate the firm’s vision into actionable commercial and growth strategies, maintain a rolling strategic roadmap and coordinate execution across departments.
• Identify emerging market opportunities (energy transition, aviation, infrastructure, cyber, financial lines) and work with technical teams to develop broker‑led solutions.
• Serve as senior commercial interface with key clients and strategic partners, represent the firm in high‑level negotiations and industry forums.
• Build, lead and scale the sales and strategy teams, define KPIs, mentor junior staff and foster a data‑driven commercial culture.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, ethical and internal governance standards, working closely with Compliance and Technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; MBA or professional insurance qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in insurance broking, financial services or a related commercial role.
• Demonstrated success in revenue generation and strategic execution.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, broker value chains and the Nigerian insurance market.
