About the role
The Sales Records & Inventory Officer ensures that every transaction and stock movement is accurately captured in real time, supporting the shop’s financial integrity and inventory control.
Key responsibilities
- Record every sale in the system on the same day, including order, delivery, invoice and payment.
- Record all purchases from suppliers, capture exact price paid and receive goods into stock.
- Verify daily that all sales are invoiced, payments posted and deliveries marked as delivered.
- Conduct a full physical stock count at month‑end, compare with system records and investigate any differences in writing.
- Maintain tidy product records with names, units of sale and barcodes, and produce a simple monthly report on sales, purchases, stock on hand and variances.
Required profile
- OND, NCE, HND or BSc in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- 1–3 years experience in stock‑keeping, store records, bookkeeping or retail accounts.
- Detail‑oriented, honest and patient, comfortable questioning mismatched numbers.
Required skills
- Experience with inventory or accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks or Sage.
- Proficiency using a smartphone and computer for data entry.
