Retail Shop Manager (Telecoms – SIM & Device Sales)

About the role

The Telecom Retail Manager will oversee daily operations of partner stores in Lagos, driving sales of mobile devices, SIM registrations and accessories while ensuring profitability, compliance and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyze daily, weekly and monthly sales targets for SIM registration, devices, accessories and network subscriptions.
• Manage inventory and execute regional retail strategies across single and multiple partner stores.
• Ensure agents adhere to scheduled working hours, follow company and host store rules, and maintain coverage without gaps.
• Monitor outlet profitability, consolidate performance reports and act on negative trends.
• Hire, train and motivate sales agents, conduct refresher training and manage attrition by coordinating with recruitment agencies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, branding, signage, uniforms and store cleanliness.
• Resolve complex customer complaints and improve Net Promoter Score.
• Ensure accurate daily reporting, issue escalation and timely resolution of operational problems.

Required profile

• Graduate (Bachelor’s degree) with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail operations, field sales supervision or telecom distribution.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong coordination and people‑management skills across multiple locations.
• Experience managing frontline attrition and working with recruitment partners.
• Familiarity with SIM registration processes and compliance requirements.
• Good reporting discipline and attention to detail, including profitability tracking.
• Ability to travel regularly between partner store locations.
