Retail Sales Manager

About the role

The Retail Sales Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Lagos, responsible for driving retail insurance sales and achieving both branch and individual sales targets. This position oversees day‑to‑day sales activities, including supervising sales teams, coaching members, and monitoring performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet branch and individual targets.
• Conduct market analysis and coordinate promotional activities.
• Supervise and coach the retail sales team, monitor performance metrics.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and other departments.
• Prepare regular sales reports and ensure alignment with company policies.
• Manage customer interactions, resolve issues promptly and uphold service standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record in retail sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities to build trust and rapport.
• Experience leading customer‑experience initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills in a retail or financial‑services environment.
• Good analytical and reporting capabilities, proficient with basic office and CRM tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in insurance or financial‑services retail operations is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Lagos and thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting.
