Retail & Café Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Retail & Café Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day activities of our combined retail store and café. The role focuses on delivering operational excellence, superior customer service, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of both the retail store and café, ensuring smooth service and compliance with SOPs.
• Monitor sales, traffic, and performance metrics, implementing strategies to boost revenue and profit.
• Lead, train, and develop staff; create schedules and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage inventory for retail products and café supplies, conduct stock counts and audits.
• Coordinate procurement, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely replenishment.
• Control operational expenses, food costs, wastage, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain health, safety, and food‑safety compliance and uphold brand presentation standards.
• Analyse reports and KPIs to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Operations Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of operations management experience in retail, café, restaurant or similar customer‑facing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong financial awareness including budgeting and cost control.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Use of inventory management software.
