Reservoir Engineer

About the role

Provide high‑level reservoir engineering support for optimal development and management of oil and gas assets, from exploration and drilling through to abandonment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver integrated subsurface evaluations supporting Asset Development Planning and stage‑gate project maturation.
• Lead reservoir engineering input into capital project decisions, aligning with production targets and recovery optimisation.
• Apply discipline workflows, reservoir surveillance, and modelling standards to improve technical robustness.
• Drive value optimisation through well placement, depletion strategies and uncertainty management.
• Champion digital transformation using AI/ML and analytics to enhance forecasting, reserves maturation and surveillance efficiency.

Required profile

• BSc in Petroleum Engineering (MSc preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of applied reservoir engineering experience in oil and gas, including field development planning and well production optimisation.
• Experience in production & reserves forecasting, well test analysis, reservoir modelling & simulation, economic evaluations, risk analysis, and reserves booking/reporting.
• Familiarity with Niger Delta conventional plays is an advantage.
