Remote Mathematics Expert (PhD)

About the role

Turing is seeking remote Mathematics Experts with a PhD (or pursuing one) to support cutting‑edge AI research. You will apply your advanced mathematical knowledge to design, evaluate, and improve benchmarks for large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Design sophisticated mathematics problems that test AI reasoning, abstraction, and symbolic manipulation.
• Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous logical justification.
• Assess AI‑generated answers for correctness and quality of reasoning.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.

Required profile

• PhD (completed or in progress) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and problem‑solving abilities across advanced domains.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting problems, solutions, and feedback.
• No prior AI experience required.
