Remote Go Software Engineer (Contract)

About the role

Turing is building datasets to evaluate large language models on realistic software‑engineering tasks. We need a seasoned Go engineer to help automate development environments, triage GitHub issues, and assess LLM performance on real code.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage issues in trending open‑source repositories.
• Set up and Docker‑ize codebases, configure development environments.
• Run, modify, and test projects locally to evaluate LLM bug‑fixing capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to select challenging repositories and design evaluation scenarios.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small project teams when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software‑engineering experience.
• Experience at a tech‑lead or senior level handling complex codebases.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.

Required skills

• Go programming language.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Docker and container‑based environment setup.
