Relationship Officer, UHNI (Private Banking)

About the role

The bank is looking for a Relationship Officer for its Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNI) private banking business. The role grows the UHNI customer base by acquiring new clients through direct cold calls, referrals and the bank's value chain, while sustaining existing relationships. It is based in Lagos and Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing, prospecting and acquiring new UHNI clients using existing networks and professional referrals
• Preparing call plans and following up until prospects are converted
• Identifying customer needs and proactively offering products and services to meet them
• Reviewing customer segment marketing strategies and customer plans regularly, and suggesting improvements
• Visiting and calling key decision-makers in the value chain of existing customers to maintain good relationships
• Developing the competences needed by the bank, Group Head and Relationship Manager
• Monitoring and evaluating own portfolio performance
• Performing other duties assigned by the Relationship Manager and/or Group Head, Private Banking

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Relevant professional certification is an added advantage

• Customer relationship management and strong customer service orientation
• Knowledge of Private Banking, Wealth Management and the retail market
• Presentation and selling skills, credit appraisal and analysis
• Negotiation, problem-solving, conflict resolution and excellent communication
• High level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
