Registered Laboratory Scientist

About the role

Odixcity Consulting is seeking a Registered Laboratory Scientist to join its clinical laboratory team in Port Harcourt. The role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic tests while ensuring strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and prepare biological specimens, maintaining integrity and proper identification.
• Perform complex manual and automated tests in Hematology, Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunology.
• Evaluate results, identify abnormalities, and record data accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Implement quality control procedures, calibrate instruments, and validate results to meet regulatory requirements.
• Operate, clean, troubleshoot, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a sterile, safe work environment following universal precautions and hazardous waste protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS) or a closely related scientific degree.
• Valid practicing license and registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• 2–3 years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Experience operating automated diagnostic analyzers.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 150,000.
