Regional Sales Manager - FMCG

About the role

A client of MarbleClear is hiring an experienced Regional Sales Manager in Lagos to drive sales growth, expand market coverage and oversee sales operations across the assigned region. The role covers regional sales strategy, distributor relationships, leading sales teams and achieving sales and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional sales strategies and operational plans aligned with business objectives.
• Drive regional sales, revenue, market share and profitability targets.
• Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, sub-distributors and retail partners.
• Lead, coach and develop the regional sales team.
• Monitor sales performance, customer coverage and market execution, taking corrective action where needed.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to find new opportunities.
• Prepare and manage regional sales budgets, forecasts and performance reports.
• Ensure sales initiatives, promotions, pricing strategies and trade marketing are implemented across the region.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with Supply Chain to ensure product availability.
• Track key sales KPIs and resolve customer and distributor issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 6-8 years of sales and marketing experience in the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager or similar senior sales role.
• Strong understanding of distributor management, retail operations and route-to-market strategies.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate sales teams, and to analyse sales performance and KPIs.
• Good market knowledge, planning, budgeting and organisational skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
