Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting and tender documentation for construction projects in Lagos. The role involves close collaboration with technical and operational teams to ensure commercial viability throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Conduct detailed quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and site information.
• Develop project budgets, cost plans and maintain databases of labour, material and equipment rates.
• Price tenders, quotations and project proposals, and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and prepare periodic cost reports.
• Identify potential cost overruns, assess variations and support value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in preparing BOQs, estimates and cost reports.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian construction costs, labour rates and material pricing.
• Demonstrated project cost‑control and commercial mindset.
