Quality Assurance/Control Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance/Control Manager will lead the implementation and upkeep of a robust quality management system for our cable manufacturing operations. This role ensures that all products meet international standards and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Manage incoming, in‑process, and final inspections for extrusion, armoring, and jacketing lines.
• Oversee testing of conductor resistance, HV, IR, tensile, and dimensional properties according to standards.
• Ensure product compliance with IEC 60228, IEC 60502, BS 5467, and SON requirements.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformity, test certificates, and maintain QA/QC records.
• Investigate non‑conformities, handle customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Supervise, train, and mentor QA/QC inspectors and laboratory technicians.
• Track KPIs, reduce defects, rework, and waste through continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of QA/QC experience in a cable manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with PVC, XLPE, and LSZH cable production and laboratory testing.
• Internal Auditor training and knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.

Required skills

• ISO 9001:2015 quality management system implementation.
• Compliance with IEC 60228, IEC 60502, BS 5467, and SON standards.
• Testing of conductor resistance, high voltage, insulation resistance, tensile strength, and dimensions.
• Documentation of COCs and test certificates.
• Problem‑solving and CAPA execution.
