About the role
The Public Health Assistant will support community health initiatives in Lagos, helping to raise awareness on hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention. This part‑time position works closely with professional staff during health screenings, vaccination campaigns and maternal/child health events.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct health awareness campaigns and distribute educational materials.
- Engage individuals and groups on hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention.
- Gather field data, conduct surveys and enter health records using digital or mobile tools.
- Assist professional staff during health screenings, vaccination drives and maternal/child health conferences.
- Maintain office records, organize health events, prepare reports and manage medical or field supplies.
- Act as a liaison between community members and healthcare facilities or NGOs.
Required profile
- Minimum of a degree in a related field.
