Project Officer

About the role

The Project Officer will lead the planning and delivery of IT and telecom projects for Avetium Technologies Ltd in Lagos. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and clients to ensure projects meet scope, budget, quality and timeline expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, milestones and resources.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including developers, engineers, QA specialists, business analysts and vendors.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships, provide regular updates and gather feedback.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes.
• Monitor progress, costs, resource utilization and performance to ensure delivery within agreed parameters.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality, security, compliance and client requirements.
• Facilitate project meetings, reviews, status reporting and resolve blockers.
• Coordinate project closure, client handover, post‑project reviews and lessons learned.
• Apply Agile methodologies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of effective project management tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience managing IT or business technology solutions projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex software development, system integration or IT infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing client relationships and cross‑functional or remote teams.
