Project Engineer Mechanical and Piping

About the role

The Project Engineer Mechanical and Piping will support the project manager in delivering engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with standards, budgets, and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the project manager in establishing objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards.
• Prepare schedules, updates on construction activities, and analyse manpower and equipment needs.
• Develop and administer testing protocols, monitor project performance, and communicate schedule changes to supervisors and subcontractors.
• Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, reporting regularly to the project manager.
• Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve project methods and profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering design, piping/pipeline fabrication, project supervision and construction.
• Willingness to travel nationwide to project sites.
• Professional certification/training such as HSE 1‑3, project management; COREN registration is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient use of AutoCAD (modelling, pipe routing, isometrics).
• Data analysis and reporting with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of health & safety (HSE) procedures and drawing interpretation.
