Project Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Company is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electrical and instrumentation activities on construction projects. You will develop work plans, coordinate resources, and ensure safe, on‑time delivery across multiple sites in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement work plans, schedules and execution strategies for electrical and instrumentation works.
• Coordinate project resources, materials, equipment and manpower.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and calibration of power distribution, lighting, cable trays, earthing and control devices.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, single‑line diagrams, loop diagrams and technical specifications.
• Identify risks, technical challenges and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical, Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation project execution, preferably in construction, oil & gas or industrial installations.
• Professional engineering membership or certifications is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the country.

Required skills

• Electrical installation and power distribution systems.
• Instrumentation systems – pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters and control valves.
• Testing, commissioning and calibration of electrical and control equipment.
• Review of electrical drawings, single‑line and wiring diagrams.
• Project coordination and contractor management.
