Project Control Lead

About the role

The Project Control Lead will establish, implement and manage all project controls for a Gas Pipeline Project on behalf of the Project Management Consultancy. You will provide leadership in planning, cost control, risk and change management to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule from engineering through hand‑over, using Primavera P6.
• Validate EPC contractor schedules, monitor critical path activities and devise recovery plans.
• Implement cost‑control procedures, monitor expenditures, prepare forecasts, cash‑flow projections and EAC reports.
• Design progress‑measurement systems, validate contractor claims and produce weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reports and maintain project performance databases.
• Facilitate risk‑identification workshops, maintain the risk register and report emerging risks.
• Administer change‑control processes, evaluate schedule and cost impacts of variations.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience (minimum 15 years) in project controls for large‑scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record working with clients, EPC contractors, engineering consultants and procurement teams.
• Strong analytical and decision‑support skills, with ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (schedule development, analysis and recovery planning).
• Cost control and forecasting techniques, including cash‑flow and EAC calculations.
• Risk management and change‑control procedures.
• Project performance reporting and dashboard creation.
