Professional Furniture Carpenter

About the role

The company is looking for a highly skilled Professional Furniture Carpenter to create high‑quality wooden furniture and ensure precise dimensions and finishes. You will work in a workshop environment, collaborating with design, production and logistics teams to deliver custom pieces.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finish specifications.
• Craft a wide range of bespoke and multifunctional furniture using various woodworking machines and hand tools.
• Assemble cabinets, frames and other wooden articles while maintaining precision and quality.
• Prioritise health and safety measures and keep the workshop clean and organised.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, design teams, customer service and logistics to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a professional furniture carpenter in a reputable manufacturing company.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow processes and procedures, and good communication skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Preferred qualification: NABTEB, Trade Test or Diploma in Woodworks.

Required skills

• Reading technical drawings and sketches.
• Operation of woodworking machines (saws, routers, CNC, etc.).
• Advanced carpentry and joinery craftsmanship.
• Health and safety compliance in a workshop setting.
