Product Design Lead

About the role

As a Product Design Lead you will own the execution of Moniepoint’s design vision, managing a small team of designers across multiple product squads. You will balance leadership with hands‑on design to deliver business‑driven, user‑centred solutions that elevate the overall experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of product designers, ensuring project prioritisation, alignment and timely delivery of high‑quality design work.
• Mentor and inspire the team through regular critiques, coaching and skill‑development initiatives.
• Manage project timelines, roadmaps and design workflows to keep work on schedule.
• Contribute directly to key design projects while maintaining leadership responsibilities.
• Partner with product managers, engineers and executives to translate strategic goals into user‑friendly designs.
• Advocate for user‑centred design using qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing and behavioural insights.
• Ensure design consistency and scalability through design systems and atomic design principles.
• Champion accessibility (a11y) and inclusive design for a diverse audience.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to measure impact and optimise experiences based on data.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership of design teams and end‑to‑end product design across platforms.
• Proven experience leading and developing design teams, fostering collaboration and performance‑driven growth.
• Deep expertise in UX/UI principles, interaction design and user‑research methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic mindset to translate product goals into scalable, user‑centric solutions.
• Experience managing design workflows, tools and operational processes to improve efficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Background in fintech or SaaS with understanding of financial products, compliance and security.
