Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead the procurement function for oil & gas projects in Port Harcourt. The role involves developing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of critical materials while adhering to Nigerian Content regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
• Source, pre‑qualify, and manage technically and commercially competent vendors.
• Handle RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, purchase orders, and contract administration.
• Monitor procurement costs against approved budgets and manage procurement risks.
• Coordinate expediting, logistics, and long‑lead item management.
• Maintain complete, auditable procurement documentation.
• Support project teams to achieve schedule and cost objectives.
• Ensure compliance with client‑approved requirements and Nigerian Content rules.
• Build and sustain a reliable oil & gas vendor and subcontractor network.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas or offshore procurement and marine‑related projects.
• Proven ability in vendor pre‑qualification, technical/commercial bid evaluation, and RFQ management.
• Experience with purchase order management, vendor expediting, and contract negotiation.
• Strong cost‑control, logistics coordination, and long‑lead item management skills.
• Demonstrated procurement risk management and audit/reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
