Procurement Specialist

About the role

Detopsy Engineering Limited is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead technical sourcing, vendor selection and logistics for specialized electrical and instrumentation equipment. The role supports large‑scale engineering, power and marine projects across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Source specialized electrical parts, instrumentation and metering equipment from accredited OEMs.
• Evaluate and onboard global and local engineering suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Negotiate price benchmarks, draft commercial agreements, payment schedules and warranties.
• Oversee clearing, forwarding and final delivery of materials to project sites.
• Issue and manage high‑volume purchase orders, synchronising material demand with engineering teams.
• Monitor supplier routes to mitigate shortages of critical mechanical and electrical components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of strategic procurement experience in Nigerian Oil & Gas, Power or Marine sectors.
• Proven ability to negotiate favourable commercial terms with global parts distributors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with technical teams and vendors.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Supply chain management software.
• Full Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) pipeline knowledge.
• International logistics procedures.
