About the role
The Procurement Officer will manage the end‑to‑end acquisition of goods, services and equipment required for the efficient operation of healthcare facilities in Imo State. This role ensures compliance with organisational policies and healthcare regulations while supporting cost‑effective operations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability to meet operational needs.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with terms.
- Oversee the procurement lifecycle, including purchase orders, receipt and distribution of goods and services.
- Collaborate with department heads, finance teams and facility managers to align procurement activities with budgets and operational requirements.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in healthcare or the public sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of procurement laws, healthcare regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
- Resident of Imo State or willing to relocate.
Required skills
- Proficiency with procurement software.
- Experience using ERP systems.
