Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services needed by Davidorlah Farms. This role ensures cost‑effective procurement while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Request, compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts.
• Prepare purchase orders and related documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines and quality of goods.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date database of approved suppliers.
• Conduct market research to find competitive pricing and alternative sources.
• Coordinate inspection of delivered goods to verify specifications.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Stores and other departments to determine procurement needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and trigger purchases when stock is low.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, quotations and supplier agreements.
• Resolve issues such as delayed deliveries, defective products or incorrect quantities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets and approval procedures.
• Prepare regular procurement reports and support cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supplier management processes.
• Good negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to evaluate suppliers and compare quotations effectively.
• Strong record‑keeping and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

What we offer

• Monthly salary between NGN 150,000 and NGN 250,000.
• Full‑time, onsite position in Lagos.
