Procurement Executive

About the role

This Procurement Executive position covers sourcing and purchasing across a range of indirect spend categories, including capital equipment and MRO supplies. The role leads the RFQ, RFP and RFI processes, develops sourcing strategies and manages supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the RFQ, RFP and RFI process
• Research vendors and recommend options based on total cost and quality of indirect materials and services
• Source suppliers, develop them and build mutually beneficial relationships
• Develop strategic sourcing and purchasing plans supporting the business's future profitability
• Analyze current spend to improve service, reduce costs and streamline purchasing
• Sourcing and procuring capital equipment and MRO supplies
• Execute sourcing strategies for the highest spend, most complex and most critical categories
• Ensure routine purchasing activities meet business needs and identify company-wide spend opportunities
• Manage complex projects from conception to implementation, including change management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on their procurement needs and sourcing guidance
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and maintain accurate procurement records for audit
• Create purchase orders in SAP or other purchasing systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience across indirect spend categories
• Significant expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and influencing skills in a matrix environment
• Knowledge of procurement cost structures and drivers, and general knowledge of sourcing, planning and logistics laws
• Certifications such as CIPS are an advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with SAP or other procurement software is highly desirable
