Procurement Executive

About the role

Konga Online Nigeria Limited is hiring a Procurement Executive in Lagos (Marina) for its e-commerce platform, retail outlets and corporate sales units. The role sources merchandise and operational supplies, mainly in computing and other designated categories, and works closely with category managers, Finance and Logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and procurement: source merchandise and operational supplies for the e-commerce platform, retail outlets, corporate sales units and internal requisitions, focusing on computing and other designated categories.
• Supplier management: identify reliable suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules, and register quality vendors able to compete with existing ones.
• Strategy and analysis: assist category managers with supplier and product intelligence and sourcing strategies; support demand forecasting based on sales trends and promotions.
• Operational excellence: ensure procurement complies with company policies, regulatory standards and ethical guidelines; manage timely purchase orders and the procurement-to-payment process with Finance and Logistics.
• Documentation: keep procurement documents current for inbound items, cross-docked items and journals.
• Performance tracking: monitor KPIs such as lead time, cost savings and supplier performance.

Required profile

• University degree (BSc/BA) in a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail or FMCG.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and dispute-resolution skills; understanding of supply chain dynamics is highly desirable.
• Agile procurement mindset, strong relationship-building, integrity, accountability and collaborative team spirit.
• Certifications such as CIPS or CIPSMN are an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft ERP or procurement software.
• Excel: table formulation, Pivot Tables, basic formulas and VLOOKUP.
