Principal Pipeline Engineer

About the role

AAO‑TSALACH LIMITED is seeking a Principal Pipeline Engineer to lead all pipeline engineering activities across design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for subsea and onshore pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry codes and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pipeline engineering from front‑end engineering design (FEED) through detailed design, procurement and construction.
• Produce and review design calculations, technical reports, specifications, procedures and bid evaluations.
• Perform detailed pipeline design including wall‑thickness selection, line sizing, integrity assessments, thermo‑mechanical analysis, route optimisation and installation engineering.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, manage cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Support procurement, contractor selection and vendor management, preparing specifications and technical evaluations.
• Provide technical support during pre‑commissioning, commissioning, testing, pigging, gauging and risk mitigation activities.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and safety reviews, promoting a zero‑incident culture.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, ensuring quality assurance of all deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Membership of NSE and COREN.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with offshore platforms, FPSOs or onshore terminals.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE frameworks and international engineering standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
