Operations Manager

About the role

Primote Africa is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities across its retail and FMCG projects in Lagos. You will supervise field teams, coordinate brand activations, and ensure operational excellence throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and manage operational and field teams to meet business objectives.
• Plan, coordinate and execute field marketing, promotional and brand activation activities.
• Develop operational plans, schedules and deployment structures for campaigns.
• Set, monitor and act on team and departmental KPIs.
• Ensure field staff have required uniforms, materials, products and equipment.
• Coordinate logistics, transportation, materials and equipment for campaigns.
• Support corporate event planning and manage vendors, suppliers and third‑party service providers.
• Track project timelines, budgets and deliverables, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
• Conduct regular field visits, identify operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Design, document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence.
• Prepare operational reports, KPI dashboards and management updates using Excel and Power BI.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding and performance management of field staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, field marketing or project management within retail/FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead large, dispersed teams and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven performance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of improving operational processes.
