Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Lead to drive the launch and scale‑up of our food manufacturing facility in Lagos. The role will oversee factory layout, equipment commissioning and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations. You will work closely with equipment suppliers, technical teams and production staff to establish robust, repeatable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review factory layout, production flow, utilities and overall operational readiness.
• Validate equipment installation, ergonomics and workflow efficiency.
• Develop and implement SOPs, batch records and work instructions.
• Establish hygiene, sanitation, traceability and production control procedures.
• Support equipment commissioning, production trials and start‑up activities.
• Prepare the facility for GMP, HACCP, NAFDAC, SON and other regulatory requirements.
• Train production and quality teams on operating procedures and build capability.
• Implement monitoring systems to control yield, waste, downtime and output.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or factory commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, NAFDAC and SON food safety standards.
• Proven ability to develop SOPs, production systems and operational documentation.
• Hands‑on, structured approach and comfort working in a fast‑moving start‑up environment.
