Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Operations Coordinator will oversee shipment and logistics activities for Rick Aryan Services Ltd, ensuring smooth movement of containers, bulk cargo and consignments through Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. The role combines documentation, compliance, vendor liaison and daily office support.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and document all incoming shipments, maintaining accurate Bills of Lading, packing lists and related paperwork.
• Track shipments from origin to delivery, monitor vessel schedules, ETAs and promptly escalate delays.
• Prepare and organise import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with Customs, ISPON, SON, NAFDAC and other regulatory bodies.
• Liaise with local and international vendors, negotiate terms, manage delivery schedules and resolve operational issues.
• Manage day‑to‑day office operations, including correspondence, filing, data entry and basic administrative tasks.
• Support inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation as needed.
• Prepare status updates and reports for management and assist with additional operational tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (business administration preferred).
• Resident of Port Harcourt or willing to relocate immediately.
• Strong organisational, documentation and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to full‑time attendance and early start times.
