Oncology Pharmacist – Lekki

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Pharmacist to join a leading oncology healthcare facility in Lekki, Lagos. The role focuses on safe procurement, preparation, dispensing and monitoring of oncology and chemotherapy medications.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately, reviewing for dosage appropriateness, drug interactions and contraindications.
• Prepare and supervise the safe handling and dispensing of chemotherapy agents.
• Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and medication effectiveness, providing counseling to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain adequate stock levels, monitor inventory, expiry dates and storage conditions, and coordinate procurement.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria regulations, controlled‑drug documentation and infection‑prevention protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical rounds, medication safety audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D) with a current practicing license from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience in a hospital pharmacy, preferably with oncology or chemotherapy preparation.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and oncology medications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in chemotherapy preparation and oncology pharmacy practice.
