Officer, Policy and Standards

About the role

The Officer, Policy and Standards supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and standards that govern nursing practice and healthcare delivery. This role ensures policies are evidence‑based, compliant with regulations, and aligned with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development, review, and dissemination of nursing and healthcare policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Monitor compliance with established policies and standards, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Support the implementation of evidence‑based practices and quality improvement initiatives across facilities.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on policy adherence, clinical standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather feedback, analyse data, and contribute to continuous policy improvement.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in nursing, healthcare administration, or policy development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification in nursing, quality management, or healthcare policy is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, nursing standards, and quality improvement frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be a resident of Imo State or willing to relocate.
