Officer, MHPSS

About the role

The MHPSS Officer will support field teams in delivering mental health and psychosocial support activities, overseeing case management staff and ensuring program implementation aligns with project objectives. This position requires coordination with partners, logistics planning, and regular reporting to the MHPSS manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate MHPSS case management staff, including social workers, psychotherapists and psychiatrists operating in the field.
• Assist in recruitment, scheduling and logistics for MHPSS personnel and resources.
• Monitor program implementation, collect data, and prepare regular written reports for the M/E team.
• Represent IMC in inter‑agency and local coordination meetings and maintain relationships with primary health‑care centers.
• Support capacity‑building activities, develop training plans and ensure documentation of trainings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in mental health or psychosocial support programs, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Familiarity with IASC MHPSS guidelines and experience working with NGOs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using databases for data entry and reporting.
