Nursing Officer

About the role

The Edward and Clara Memorial Clinic is seeking a dedicated Nursing Officer to join its Marina location in Lagos. You will deliver high‑quality nursing care, support clinicians and ensure smooth patient flow in a fast‑paced clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, record vital signs and conduct basic assessments.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and assist doctors during consultations and minor procedures.
• Monitor patients, escalate concerns promptly, and deliver health education and counselling.
• Maintain infection‑control standards, keep clinical areas and equipment clean and ready for use.
• Accurately document patient information, register new patients and manage appointment scheduling.
• Handle patient enquiries, assist with billing, and support HMO documentation processes.
• Monitor stock of medical and nursing supplies and prepare routine reports.
• Coordinate activities between nurses, doctors, laboratory and other departments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognised nursing school.
• Valid nursing registration and practising licence (university nursing degrees are not eligible).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative abilities.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and a collaborative team attitude.
