Network Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Network Engineer with proven ability to analyse and resolve hardware and software problems and troubleshoot network performance issues. The role operates within the IT unit under the Global IT Operations Manager and supports global network infrastructure for TeKnowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and manage all network devices globally, ensuring proper operation and security hardening.
• Implement and enforce routing device configuration standards, access control policies, and change‑control procedures.
• Provide technical support to other teams, conduct vulnerability assessments, and participate in incident response.
• Perform capacity planning, disaster‑recovery testing, and ensure compliance with global IT policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• CCNA certification (or higher) is an advantage; ITIL v3 or ISO20000 experience is a plus.
• Several years of experience as a systems or network administrator in a business or remote support environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, routing protocols (OSPF, HSRP, BGP), DNS, DHCP, load balancing and firewalls.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco switches/routers, HP switches and Ubiquiti equipment.
• Familiarity with Active Directory administration and basic cloud‑technology concepts.
• Proficiency in IT Service Management processes for incident, change and configuration management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and self‑management abilities.
