Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Director – Public Health Systems Nigeria

About the role

IMA World Health is seeking a senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director to lead a five‑year, $8.3 million CDC‑funded project that strengthens International Health Regulations capacities across Nigeria. The role is based in Nigeria and reports to the Program Director.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement MEL systems, including indicators, baselines, targets and evaluation plans.
• Oversee project monitoring, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Produce timely, accurate, and comprehensive performance reports for donors and stakeholders.
• Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices.
• Coordinate with the Program Director, partners and government agencies to ensure MEL activities align with project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MEL functions for large, donor‑funded health programs.
• Strong understanding of International Health Regulations (IHR) and public health systems in Nigeria.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government ministries, state health agencies and local partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
