Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

About the role

This Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer role oversees the effectiveness of programs by tracking performance metrics, gathering data, evaluating outcomes and supporting organizational growth through evidence-based learning. It is a full-time position in the non-profit and NGO sector based in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for various programs
• Gather and interpret program data to inform decisions
• Carry out on-site monitoring visits and thorough assessments
• Maintain and update M&E databases and related records
• Draft detailed reports on monitoring activities and program performance
• Track progress against targets and evaluate final outcomes
• Record lessons learned and actionable recommendations

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop and track program indicators
• Experience conducting field monitoring visits and assessments
• Track record of monitoring program targets and evaluating outcomes

Required skills

• Strong skills in collecting and analyzing program data
• Proficiency in maintaining M&E databases and managing records
• Ability to prepare detailed monitoring and performance reports
• Ability to document lessons learned and formulate recommendations
