Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager – Digital Tool Lead

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the programme’s digital M&E systems. The role ensures high‑quality, timely and accurate data collection and reporting, with a focus on the LEAF digital tool and other consortium platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rollout, training and ongoing support for the LEAF digital M&E tool across schools and programme staff.
• Oversee collection, validation and analysis of consortium data on placement, attendance, retention and learning outcomes.
• Conduct regular field monitoring trips and work with national partners to maintain programme quality.
• Ensure data completeness, accuracy and timeliness in line with verification protocols.
• Monitor digital tool usage analytics and address gaps in data quality or user engagement.
• Collaborate with external evaluators and partners for independent verification and reporting.
• Produce regular M&E reports and contribute to annual and final programme reporting.
• Review and strengthen local partner MEAL systems.
• Support the learning agenda by sharing insights, lessons learned and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with EOF requirements, data protection, safeguarding and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) within education or development programmes.
• Proven ability to design and implement MEAL systems and digital data collection tools.
• Experience training staff and partners on digital tool adoption.
• Background in grant and budget management and capacity‑building with local partners.
• Strong understanding of education programming and field experience in international development.
• Degree in International Development, Education, Statistics, Social Sciences, Information Systems or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
