Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant / Intern

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant / Intern supports the tracking, assessment and continuous learning of programs, giving hands-on experience in results-based management, data-driven decision-making and evidence-based programming. The intern helps ensure the integrity and quality of program data through data collection, entry, analysis and reporting, and supports the design and use of M&E tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, testing and implementing monitoring and evaluation tools and data collection instruments.
• Support the collection, entry and validation of program data from field activities.
• Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, gaps and progress toward program objectives.
• Help prepare routine reports, dashboards and visualizations on program performance.
• Support the documentation and sharing of lessons learned and best practices.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and confidentiality in line with ethical and organizational standards.
• Take part in M&E meetings, training sessions and field visits as needed.
• Contribute to knowledge products and learning materials.
