Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst (UN OCHA) – Nigeria

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will support the Humanitarian Financing Unit of OCHA in Nigeria, ensuring accountability and effectiveness of the National Humanitarian Fund (NHF). The role is based in Maiduguri and is open to Nigerian nationals only.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on results of NHF‑funded projects, ensuring compliance with monitoring SOPs.
• Manage project data, conduct analysis, and produce analytical and knowledge‑management products.
• Support programmatic management tasks such as allocation processes, project reviews and quality assurance.
• Conduct partner capacity assessments and contribute to internal capacity strengthening initiatives.
• Assist with partnership management, including NGO eligibility verification and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and regularly update the NHF programmatic monitoring plan in line with operational guidelines.

Required profile

• Nigerian national.
• Entry‑level with at least 24 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Head of Humanitarian Financing Unit and report to the Monitoring and Reporting Officer.
