MHPSS Officer – Field Support

About the role

The MHPSS Officer will support field teams in implementing mental health and psychosocial support activities, ensuring services are delivered effectively and in line with program objectives. This position involves coordination with case management staff, partners, and logistics to maintain high‑quality program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and organize the work of MHPSS case management staff, including roving social workers, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists.
• Assist in recruitment, scheduling, and supervision of field staff and ensure adherence to logistics, procurement, HR, and budgeting plans.
• Collect and report program data, attend inter‑agency coordination meetings, and represent the MHPSS department as required.
• Monitor psychotropic medication management in collaboration with the MHPSS pharmacist.
• Develop and implement monitoring & evaluation tools, track indicators, and produce regular reports.
• Support capacity building by assessing training needs, preparing training schedules, and documenting training outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in mental health programs, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Familiarity with IASC MHPSS guidelines and M/E processes.
• Fluent in English and relevant local language(s).
• Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
