Merchandising Officer – Field Brand Ambassador

About the role

The Merchandising Officer acts as the frontline brand ambassador, executing merchandising activities, retail activations, product sampling and consumer engagement across Southern Nigeria. The role aims to boost brand visibility, ensure proper product placement and pricing, and gather market intelligence for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute market, street, school and retail activation campaigns.
• Merchandise products according to company standards and set up branded promotional or sampling stations.
• Conduct consumer education sessions and product sampling exercises.
• Build positive relationships with retailers and distributors, ensure shelf visibility and enforce approved pricing.
• Distribute promotional materials and collect market intelligence.
• Submit accurate daily digital field reports via smartphone.
• Maintain company uniforms, merchandising equipment and promotional assets.

Required profile

• Minimum OND, NCE or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Nigerian Pidgin.
• Basic smartphone proficiency and a valid identification document.
• Residence in Asaba or surrounding area with willingness to travel extensively across Southern Nigeria.
