Merchandising Officer – Field Brand Ambassador

About the role

The Merchandising Officer will act as the front‑line brand ambassador for the company’s products across Southern Nigeria. You will execute merchandising activities, retail activations, product sampling and consumer‑engagement campaigns to boost brand visibility and drive sales.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run market, street, school and retail activation campaigns.
• Set up branded promotional and sampling stations according to company standards.
• Conduct consumer education sessions and product sampling exercises.
• Maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors, ensuring proper shelf placement and price compliance.
• Distribute promotional materials and collect market intelligence.
• Submit accurate daily digital field reports via smartphone.
• Care for company uniforms, merchandising equipment and promotional assets.

Required profile

• Minimum OND, HND, NCE or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant field merchandising or sales experience.
• Fluent in English and Nigerian Pidgin.
• Resident of Asaba or surrounding area with willingness to travel extensively across Southern Nigeria.
• Basic smartphone proficiency and a valid form of identification.

Required skills

• Smartphone operation for digital reporting.
