About the role
Pan Medical Laboratory Limited is seeking a diligent Medical Technician to join its laboratory team in Port Harcourt. The role involves operating and maintaining a range of laboratory equipment while ensuring accurate test results for clinical staff.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot microscopes, automated analysers and centrifuges.
- Monitor laboratory inventory and order replacement supplies as needed.
- Adhere to infection control, biosafety and hazardous material disposal protocols.
- Compile and communicate critical test results promptly to doctors and clinical personnel.
- Log and enter test results accurately into Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Required profile
- Minimum qualification: HND.
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar laboratory role.
Required skills
- Microscope operation and calibration.
- Automated analyser operation.
- Centrifuge operation.
- Laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) usage.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) data entry.
- Inventory management.
