Medical Laboratory Dispatch Rider

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Dispatch Rider ensures timely and safe transport of laboratory specimens, blood products, reagents and reports across Port Harcourt. You will work closely with healthcare and laboratory teams, maintaining strict cold‑chain standards and biosafety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver specimens, blood products, reagents and reports on schedule.
• Maintain cold‑chain integrity using approved containers and temperature‑control procedures.
• Record pickups, deliveries, signatures and motorcycle logs accurately.
• Follow biosafety, confidentiality and incident‑response procedures.
• Perform daily motorcycle safety checks.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare and laboratory staff.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WASSCE qualification.
• Valid Rider’s Permit and motorcycle licence.
• At least 2 years of dispatch rider experience; healthcare or laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Port Harcourt routes (Aba Road, GRA, Mile 1‑4, D‑line, Trans‑Amadi, Elezu, Obio‑Akpor, Ikwerre Road).
• Fluent English, trustworthy, punctual, physically fit and calm under pressure.
• Ability to provide two reliable guarantors based in Port Harcourt.
