Medical Doctor – Lagos

About the role

The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients at EHA Clinics in Lagos, including history taking, examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning and follow‑up. The role involves both in‑clinic and telemedicine consultations, as well as occasional home visits for members of the clinic’s Membership Scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telemedicine consultations, discuss laboratory results and manage routine and emergency complaints.
• Determine diagnoses and treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines, and oversee patient care.
• Interview patients, take medical histories, perform physical examinations and explain medical problems during consultations and home visits.
• Provide clinical instructions to nursing and care teams, coordinate referrals and liaise with specialists.
• Document all aspects of patient care, complete required paperwork and attend educational meetings.
• Support clinical research, contribute to publications and help develop systems for chronic disease management.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, DO) from a recognized university and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
• Completed compulsory internship, post‑NYSC experience and up‑to‑date licence.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with medical research.
