Medical Consultant – 4 Openings

About the role

Bergstein Hospital, a growing healthcare institution in Ikorodu, is seeking four full‑time Medical Consultants to join its multidisciplinary team. The consultants will provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis and management of patients, working closely with physicians, nurses and other professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. This on‑site position involves mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient histories and conduct thorough examinations.
• Interpret investigations and develop treatment plans aligned with hospital protocols.
• Participate in ward rounds, case reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Support emergency care and acute stabilization when required.
• Mentor and train junior clinicians and contribute to clinical teaching.
• Contribute to the development and updating of clinical guidelines.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Medicine with broad clinical knowledge and hospital‑based experience.
• Specialized expertise or significant experience in Cardiology.
• Demonstrated ability in Emergency Medicine, including acute care and rapid decision‑making.
• Proven experience working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Background in training, mentoring junior staff or delivering clinical education.
• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a valid license to practice; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
