Consultant Medical Specialist (Cardiology, Radiology, Gynaecology, Anaesthesia)

About the role

The successful candidates will deliver specialist medical care in their respective fields, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, patient safety and high‑quality clinical outcomes. They will collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and hospital management as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up care.
• Manage patients within the specialty according to accepted clinical standards.
• Review investigations and deliver appropriate clinical interpretation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient management when required.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support quality‑improvement, patient‑safety and clinical‑governance initiatives.
• Offer professional guidance and mentorship where applicable.
• Uphold high standards of ethics, professionalism, confidentiality and patient‑centred care.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognised postgraduate specialist qualification in the relevant specialty.
• Current registration and licence to practise with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Relevant clinical experience as a specialist/consultant.
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and professional excellence.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
